" In June 2015, Baku city in Azerbaijan will host the first European Games event. This event, which can compare to Olympic Games by scale and number of sports involved, has a tremendous importance to Azerbaijan as the country is hosting multisport event for the first time in its history.
One of the major objectives of the Baku European Games project was to create a model that will allow the European Games to become the pre-eminent and most innovative continental Games, showcasing Azerbaijan as a modern European nation capable of great achievement. BEGOC (Baku 2015 European Games Operation Committee) has been established to help fulfil this vision and has produced the following mission statement:
Baku 2015 will deliver the inaugural European Games in summer 2015, unifying people across Europe in a passionate celebration of sport.  Baku 2015 will support the European Olympic Committees in creating an innovative and impactful athlete-centred multi-sport event which is sustainable for future editions. To achieve this, the team delivering Baku 2015 will strive for excellence in everything they do, whilst ensuring the most impactful use of resources.
The European Games requires an IT infrastructure that will support the largest sporting event ever held in Azerbaijan. It needs to satisfy a diverse range of users, including Games organizers, the athletes, the media personnel and officials, and customer expectations of Games IT systems far surpass those of a typical corporate environment. In order to deliver outstanding European Games, BEGOC needed an IT service provider to manage the IT infrastructure and provide technical services.
BEGOC have selected Eurodesign CSC - Azerbaijani technology services integrator, to be an integral part of the technology team and participate in development of design, deployment and management of complex ICT infrastructure. To ensure successful delivery of requested services, Eurodesign cooperated with Microsoft, Cisco, EMC and Kompas Xnet companies.
Komaps Xnet have kindly agreed to support Eurodesign CSC in administration of complex Information System infrastructure based on Microsoft technologies.
